Checklist

< ol>

  • Were the kids planning on next move while putting the stick so that they get more boxes?
  • Were the kids keeping track of the number of boxes in their names?
  • how to play

Divide the children into groups of 4. Begin with a story, such as builders creating magical squares on a treasure map, to spark imagination. Each child is given one colored popsicle stick and matching colored pebbles. Children take turns placing only one stick per round on a dotted grid, regardless of whether they complete a square. When a square is completed, they place a pebble of their color in the center. After all squares are filled, each child counts the numbers on the sticks within their claimed squares and totals them. The child with the highest total wins. This activity encourages strategy, observation, counting, and turn-taking in a fun, hands-on way.

    2. Try to place the sticks in such a way that your friend faces difficulty in obtaining the box
