Checklist

< ol>

  • Were the kids enthusiastic to build taller towers.
  • Was there any new ideas by the kids of making the base and the tower stable and stronger?
  • how to play

Divide the children into groups of 3-4. Begin by telling a short story, such as helping a team of builders construct the tallest tower in a new city or creating a lookout tower to spot approaching ships, to spark imagination. Give each group a set of paper cups and explain that their goal is to build the tallest, most stable tower they can using only the cups provided. Encourage them to experiment with stacking patterns, wider bases for stability, and creative shapes. If children have difficulty, give hints such as: How can you make the base stronger? Which stacking pattern makes the tower taller? How can you stop it from falling? Ensure each child has enough time to take part in building and to admire everyone’s towers before the game ends.

    Challanges

    1. You can challenge the kids to make paper cup towers wind-resistant.
    2. Let them guess the height and width of the tower and use a measuring tape later to find the actual value.

    Questions to be asked

    1. How will you make sure the papercup towers won't fall off in the wind?
    2. Does the structure of the base of your tower make any difference in making the tower strong?
