Checklist

  1. Was the cart moving after kids completed it?
  2. were kids trying to figure out different ways of making the cart such as number of wheels, cardboard shapes

how to play

divide the kids intro group of 2-3 each, The story told to the kids must be something that aligns with a moving vehicle that doesnt need petrol but works with the help of the air in the balloon . they are given a piece of cardboard, 4 bottlecap, a balloon and 3 small pieces of straw and 2 sausage sticks, The kids can make anytype of cart they prefer but that cart must work and kids must get enough play time. if the kids are having difficulty coming up with ideas then we can give them hints such as ; what does the bottle cap looks like? where can we add the straws? what might be the use of the balloon.

Challanges

  1. Ask them to make a car with an odd number of wheels, like 3 or 5.
  2. Attach cups with a load and let it travel a certain distance.
  3. Get more than one balloon attached and try with each balloon going in a different direction.
  4. Let the kids estimate how far the cart will travel, then use a measuring tape to check.

Questions to be asked

  1. Does your balloon cart go slower when you put more load on it?
  2. And do real cars slow down when they have more stuff in them? Why or why not?
  3. Does putting two or more balloons on your cart change anything?
  4. Do you think vehicles with an odd number of wheels would work well? Can you compare between yours and a real one?
